Research Revealed:Middle class numbers plummeted worldwide for the first time since the nineties; Epidemic affected
For the first time since the 1990s, due to Corona, the number of middle class people around the world has decreased. Nearly two-thirds of families in developing countries admit they have suffered a loss in income.
Researchers at the Pew Research Center found that in the last year, the number of people whose daily income was 10 to 50 dollars (about 730 to 3,650 rupees), decreased from 9 million to around 250 crore.
According to the research, the number of people whose daily income was less than two dollars (about 146 rupees) increased by 131 million.
At the same time, such people, whose daily income was $ 50 (Rs 3,650 or more), 6.2 million such people fall in the middle class category.
It also means that a total of 150 million middle class people worldwide were affected by the epidemic.
This figure is more than the total population of France and Germany. Rakesh Kochhar, author of the study, says that such instances are rarely seen in modern history, when the global economy has fallen so drastically.
